Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the impact of the teaching offered by a father participating in the family education program on the acquisition of the basic mathematical skills of an autistic child. In this context, a father education program has been prepared on how the father will get the elimination regarding the performance of his child and on the teaching processes with systematic teaching and simultaneous guidance. After the training, video models were also given to the father that could be a model in the teaching of the first two skills he would teach his child. During the application process, the first two skill teachings were provided by the researcher on the performance of the father. The findings of the research designed according to the multi-deduction model between skills show that teaching by a father with a simultaneous clue is effective in the child's learning of basic mathematical skills. It has been shown that the performance of the father has increased with the reliability of the application. In his last teaching skills, his father performed his teaching practice with a high level of confidence with simultaneous guidance without receiving clues and guidelines.
