Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed at studying athletic behavior levels with the lead to success of university students. The study included a total of 230 university students, including 111 women and 119 men, who were easily identified by sample using unselective sampling methods. The body training course as a data collection tool has been used for the sports behavior scale and the basic needs scale. In the analysis of data, the demographic variables were identified by frequency value tests, Mann-Whitney u tests and Kruskal-Wallis tests. According to the analysis, in the Mann-Whitney test, students studying in SBF’s BIG levels were high in students studying in YDY. According to the results of the Kruskal-Wallis H test, students studying in the training department of the SBF have been shown to have a high BIG drive from students in the engineering and economics departments of the YDY preparation school. In the Mann-Whitney test conducted to determine the levels of athleticity of students, the levels of exhibition of positive behaviors of SBF students were high compared to YDY students. The same result was also detected in the low scale of avoidance of negative behaviors. As a result, it can be said that the sports training they have received has a positive impact on the perception of sportiness and BIG.
