Abstract:

The first Eastern Turkish dictionary, Vocabularium Linguae Giagataicae sive Igureae (Lexico Ciagataico), was developed by the Western people. The study focused on the Eastern Turkish dictionaries prepared in Europe, the writing in the Vocabularium Linguae Giagataicae sive Igureae, the first works in which the Turkish was written with Latin letters, the transcription system, content and sources of the Vocabularium Linguae Giagataicae sive Igureae. The dictionary contains 468 articles and is written in Eastern Turkish text heads, first in Arabic and then in Latin. On the face of the head of the article again first Arabic and then Latin letters with the Persian and Ottoman Turkish replies were written after the Latin explanation was given. After the Latin explanation, the source of the word is indicated. The phrase or phrase in which the word is taken after the head of some article is first written in Arabic, then in Latin, and then translated into Latin.
