Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to study the master's and doctor's theses published in the fields of teacher qualification, quality, self-quality and characteristics according to the criteria determined. This study in the screening model was carried out on the basis of content analysis. In the framework of the research, graduate theses that are open to access in the specified subjects, published between 2000-2017 in the YÖK National Thesis Center, have been studied. 54 subjects obtained by the study method of sampling were analyzed by the thesis examination form created by the researchers. In accordance with this basic objective, the theses were evaluated in terms of the year, the subject areas, the university, the institute, the field, the method, the data collection tools, the type of sampling and the size of the sampling. Re-coding reliability is calculated in order to ensure the reliability of the work. The data obtained is interpreted on a percentage and frequency basis. The research finds that the most studies were conducted in 2010, the studies were more focused on the field of teaching qualification, the most theses were prepared in the University of Gazi and the vast majority of them were prepared in the Institute of Educational Sciences. It has also been shown that the studies are focused on the educational programs and the field of teaching, the surveys and scales are often used as data collection tools, and their analysis is mainly applied to quantitative analysis methods, and also the use of random sampling in the type of sampling. Research is of importance to be a guide to researchers by revealing the directions of graduate studies.
