Abstract:

Basic science (stylistic, retorical, formology) is a field of research between linguistics and literary criticism. His studies critically criticize the texts from a literary point of view and are concerned with the drawing of the order in his linguistic structures. In this study, important theoretical examinations were conducted towards the simplification of Turkish and becoming a national language, and the story of Omer Seyfettin, the owner of the first literary and intellectual texts that were included in the framework of them, "Love and Foot Fingers" was solved from a scientific point of view. The selection of the story "Love and Foot Fingers" published in 1914 by Omer Seyfettin for the study has taken into account the nature of the text reflecting the acceptance of the concept of "New Lisan". The knowledge categories of the language included in the subject story of Omer Seyfettin, who managed to establish a new literary language by approaching Turkish language in terms of vocabulary and speech characteristics, have been analyzed in terms of quantitative status. In this direction, the study aims to analyze the formal characteristics of a qualified text in the sense that the literary language that Omer Seyfettin wants to establish represents.
