Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the "Change Management Skills" of the official educational institutions (primary, secondary and high school) affiliated with the Ministry of Education. The research is in a comparative type of scan model. The scale of skill management of the exchange of school managers, developed by Helvacı (2004) as a total data tool, has been used. The survey form was applied to 304 managers and 419 teachers who worked in the Afyonkarahisar province in 2016-2017. In the analysis of the research data, the t-test, the one-way Anova test and the Tukey HSD test were used in the determination of the group that causes the difference. According to the study, the school managers have been at a high level in terms of determining the need for change, preparing for school change, applying the change and assessing the change, and according to the teachers’ opinions, at a medium level. School managers have determined that their own and teachers' opinions on their skills in determining the need for change, preparing for school change, applying change and evaluating change vary according to the variables of professional age, task, school type, educational status and in-service seminars.
