Abstract:

Values are thoughts and beliefs that enable individuals to act in harmony in social life, leading the individual in decision-making processes. To ensure the continuity of values by transmitting from generation to generation has been the main objective of education throughout history. Each society has its own system of values which it has created according to its history, culture, beliefs. The values to be granted to children can vary by time or by society. The contents of the classbooks of the period that are the knowledge, skills and values of the targeted behavior, the knowledge, skills and values of the historical process can be revealed by studying the contents of the classbooks of the period. Books are written sources that transfer the information about the events and events of the time in which they are written to new generations. In the dates in which the curriculum is printed, it can be revealed by studying the content of the curriculum, which is the knowledge, skills and values of the behavior aimed at giving students. In this study, it was prepared by Faik Reşad in R.1330 / M.1914 and II. The book "Tarz-i Nevîn-i Kıraat", which was used as a curriculum in iptidai, rushtiye and idadi schools during the period of legitimacy, is intended to be studied in terms of root values and values included in the Social Information Teaching Program. The study adopted a qualitative research approach and used documentary scanning techniques in the collection of data. In the study’s data collection phase, the document study method was used, content analysis on the obtained data was carried out. When the findings obtained from the research were studied, the "Tarz-i Nevîn-i Kıraat" curriculum found that the most expressions related to the value of workforce, scientificity, patriotism, truth, love and tolerance were included. The least found values in the work are the values of patience, responsibility, equality, peace and freedom.
