Oran Orantı Konusunda Yedinci Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Matematiksel İlişkilendirme Becerileri

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul 7.sınıf öğrencilerinin oran-orantı konusu kapsamında matematiksel ilişkilendirme becerilerini (MİB) incelemektir. Betimsel nitelikte olan bu çalışmaya, iki devlet ortaokulunda öğrenim gören toplam 47 yedinci sınıf öğrencisi katılmıştır. Araştırmada Bingölbali ve Coşkun’un (2016) matematiksel ilişkilendirme becerisi için oluşturdukları kuramsal yapı kullanılarak yedi açık uçlu sorudan oluşan Matematiksel İlişkilendirme Beceri Testi (MİBT) geliştirilmiştir. Buna göre MİBT’nde, MİB’nin kavramlar arası ilişkilendirme, kavramın farklı gösterimleri arasında ilişkilendirme, gerçek hayatla ilişkilendirme ve farklı disiplinlerle ilişkilendirme bileşenine ait yedi alt bileşeninden her biri ile ilgili bir soruya yer verilmiştir. Sorulara verilen cevaplar puanlama derecelerine göre sınıflandırılmış ve yüzdelik hesaplamaları yapılmıştır. MİBT’nde her bir soruda ve toplamda elde edilen puanların ortalaması bulunarak öğrencilerin oran orantı konusundaki matematiksel ilişkilendirme beceri düzeyleri belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda öğrencilerin genel ve bileşenlere göre MİB düzeylerinin düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrenciler en düşük performansı kavramla diğer kavramlar arasında ilişki kurma ve gerçek hayattan sözel bir örnek verme alt bileşenlerinde, en yüksek performansı ise kavramı gerçek hayata ilişkin bir bağlam içerisinde ele alma alt bileşeninde göstermişlerdir.

Mathematical Relationship Skills Of Seventh Class Students

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the mathematical association skills (MIB) of high school students within the ratio-percentage subject. The study, which is of a visual quality, included a total of 47 seventh-class students who studied in two state high schools. The study developed the Mathematical Relationship Skills Test (MIBT) consisting of seven open end questions using the theoretical structure they created for the mathematical connectivity skills by Bingölbali and Coşkun (2016). Accordingly, in the MIB, a question was put into each of the seven subcomponents of the MIB's interconceptual association, association between different manifestations of the concept, association with real life and association with different disciplines. The answers to the questions were classified according to the scores and percentage calculations were made. In MIBT, the average of the scores obtained in each question and in the total is determined by the level of mathematical association skills on the subject of the student’s ratio. The results of the study showed that students have a low MIB level according to the general and component. Students have shown the lowest performance in the subcomponents of the concept of relation with other concepts and giving a verbal example of the real life, while the highest performance in the subcomponents of the concept of dealing with the real life in a context.
