Abstract:

The research was carried out to determine the opinions of preschool teachers about learning centers. The case study model, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 48 teachers working in pre-school institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. As a data collection tool, “Opinion Form for Learning Centers” was used. The data were obtained with the data collection tool prepared through the Google form. Descriptive and content analysis methodology was used in the interpretation of the data. As a result of the research, While the teachers stated that they mostly included the dramatic game center and the least music center in the classroom environment, they stated that they mostly organized the learning centers every semester. They stated that they mostly consider the characteristics of children when creating learning centers, and they often use attention/attention in order to use these centers more effectively. In addition, it was seen that the most preferred learning center during the day was the block center and the reasons for preference were concentrated in the category of comfort/communication.
