Mizah antik dönemden günümüze hikaye, fıkra, komedi, karikatür gibi sözlü, yazılı, performansa dayalı ve görsel-işitsel formlarla ortaya çıkan toplumsal- kültürel bir üründür. Bu özellikleri ile toplumsal muhalefetin de dili olma, güçlüye karşı zayıfın sesi olma işlevi üstlenir. Mizah ürünleri tarih boyunca egemen iktidarların söylem ve pratikleri karşısında tabi sınıflar açısından bir direniş ve güçlenme biçimi olagelmiştir. Toplumsal muhalefet bağlamında egemen söylemlere karşı alternatif söylemler kurmayı olanaklı kılmıştır. Türk toplumunun muhalefet geleneği içerisinde de Nasreddin hoca fıkraları, Karagöz oyunları kadar yakın tarihteki Marko Paşa, Gırgır, Leman gibi mizah dergileri ve karikatür de önemli bir rol oynar. Türkiye’de 1980 sonrası dönemde feminist hareketin de söyleminde bir ifade biçimi olarak ironi ve mizahın benimsendiği görülmektedir. Kampanyalar, protesto eylemleri ve en çok da hareketin dinamizmini sağlayan yayıncılık faaliyetlerinde hem popüler hem politik bir ifade biçimi olarak mizah unsurları ve karikatür önemli eleştirel bakış açılarını yansıtır. Bu çalışma Türkiye’de 1980’den günümüze karikatürist kadınlar tarafından ortaya konan feminist karikatürün izini sürmeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu çerçevede tarihsel-toplumsal gelişmeler ekseninde feminist karikatür çizerler, yayınlar ve eleştirel bakış açıları açısından betimlenmektedir. Çalışma sonucunda karikatürist kadınlar tarafından ortaya konan feminist eleştirel mizahın ataerkil toplumsal yapı ve bunun kadınlar üzerinde yarattığı baskıyı pek çok farklı açıdan ele aldığı; karikatürde kadın imgesinin dönüşümüne katkıda bulunduğu ve mizah aracılığıyla 1980’li yıllardan günümüze kapsayıcı ve çeşitlilik içeren bir söylem geliştirdiği görülmektedir.
Humor is a social-cultural product that has emerged with oral, written, performance-based and audio-visual forms such as stories, anecdotes, comedy and cartoons from ancient times to the present. With these features, it undertakes the function of being the language of the social opposition and the voice of the weak against the strong. Humor products have been a form of resistance and empowerment for subject classes against the discourses and practices of sovereign powers throughout history. It has made it possible to establish alternative discourses against the dominant discourses in the context of social opposition. In the opposition tradition of Turkish society, humor magazines such as Marko Paşa, Gırgır, Leman and caricature play an important role as much as Nasreddin Hodja jokes and Karagöz plays. In the post-1980 period in Turkey, it is seen that the feminist movement adopted irony and humor as a form of expression in its discourse. Humor elements and caricature reflect important critical perspectives as both a popular and political form of expression in campaigns, protest actions, and most importantly in publishing activities that provide the dynamism of the movement. This study aims to trace the caricature with a feminist perspective, which has been put forward by caricaturist women in Turkey since 1980. In this framework, feminist caricaturist are described in terms of publications and critical perspectives on the axis of historical-social developments. As a result of the study, the humor with a feminist critical perspective put forward by the caricaturist women deals with the patriarchal social formation and the pressure it creates on women from many different perspectives; It is seen that it contributed to the transformation of the female image in caricatures and developed an inclusive and diverse discourse from the 1980s to the present through humor.
