Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to examine the current situation of research on instructional leadership with the meta-synthesis method, based on the postgraduate theses made between 2010-2020. This research is a descriptive study. In this study, document analysis, which is considered as a qualitative research, was used. Such research methods are generally referred to as meta-synthesis. 58 postgraduate theses were included in the study and postgraduate theses on instructional leadership made between 2010 and 2020 were examined. In the research, it was seen that 54 master’s and 4 doctoral theses on instructional leadership were made and various findings were reached. In the research, it has been observed that studies on instructional leadership are generally at master’s level, while studies at doctoral level are very few, but there has been an increase in studies on instructional leadership in recent years. When the literature was searched, studies on both leadership and instructional leadership were found. However, no study has been found in which the theses on instructional leadership are classified and the research is evaluated holistically. In this respect, it can be considered important as it will contribute to the literature.
