Küreselleşme, teknolojik gelişme ve sermaye hareketlerinin hızlanması dünya ekonomisini tek bir pazar haline getirerek yeni bir dönüşüme neden olmuştur. Küreselleşme ile birlikte meydana gelen yapısal değişimler üretim, sermaye ve istihdam yapısını yeniden şekillendirmiştir. Ancak ekonomilerin gelişme süreçleri gözlemlendiğinde birçok ülkenin sanayileşme sürecini tamamlamadan hızlı bir şekilde hizmet sektörüne geçiş yaptığı görülmektedir. Sanayisizleşme olarak adlandırılan bu durum imalat sektöründeki istihdam ve çıktı payının azalmasıdır. Sanayisizleşme emek verimliliği, işgücü dağılımı, ticari dengesizlik, sermaye hareketleri vb. birçok unsuru etkilemektedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de 1980-2017 dönemi için sanayi sektöründe istihdam edilen işgücü ile kişi başına düşen mili gelir, doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar, toplam faktör verimliliği ve ticari dengesizlik arasındaki ilişki analiz edilmiştir. Zivot- Andrews ve Fourier ikinci nesil birim kök testlerinin uygulanmasının ardından Hacker ve Hatemi- J bootstrap nedensellik testi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre kişi başına düşen milli gelir ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımlardan sanayi sektöründe istihdam edilen işgücüne doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilirken toplam faktör verimliliği ile ticari dengesizlik arasında ise herhangi bir nedensellik ilişkisi olmadığı saptanmıştır.
Globalization, technological developments and the acceleration of capital movements have led to a new transformation by making the world economy a single market. The structural changes that have occurred with globalization have shaped the structure of production, capital and employment. However, when the developing processes of the economies are observed, it seems that many countries have rapidly switched to the service sector without completing the process of industrialization. This situation, called disindustrialization, is the decrease in employment and output in the manufacturing sector. Disindustrialization is labour efficiency, labour distribution, trade imbalance, capital movements, etc. It affects many elements. This study analyzed the relationship between the labour force employed in the industrial sector for the period 1980-2017 and the per capita income, the direct foreign investments, the overall factor efficiency and trade imbalance. After the implementation of the Zivot-Andrews and Fourier second-generation unit root tests, the Hacker and Hatemi-J bootstrap cause test was carried out. According to the results obtained, one-way causal relationship between the national income per person and the direct foreign investments to the employed labour force in the industrial sector is identified, while there is no causal relationship between the overall factor efficiency and the commercial imbalance.
