Bu araştırma, gebelerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin tutumları ile kendilerini algılama şekilleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma, web tabanlı tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı özellikte 257 katılımcıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma verileri, Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu ve Gebelerin Kendini Algılama Ölçeği ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırmada gebelerin kendilerini algılama ölçeği annelik algısı alt boyutu puan ortalaması ile yaş, eğitim durumu, çalışma durumu, aile tipi, eşin eğitim durumu, gebelik haftası, doğum öyküsü ve gebeliğin evliliğe etkisi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık olduğu saptanmıştır ( p<0,05). Beden algısı alt boyutu puan ortalaması ile eğitim durumu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır ( p<0,05). Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri tutum ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile annelik algısı arasında pozitif yönde (0,296, p≤0,001) ve beden algısı ile arasında ise negatif yönde zayıf düzeyde (-0,254, p≤0,001) anlamlı ilişki olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Literatürde ilk defa incelenen bu araştırma sonuçlarına göre annelik, beden ve toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin tutum arasında ilişki olup daha fazla çalışma ile aydınlatılmaya gereksinim duyulan konular arasında yer almaktadır.
This research was carried out to examine the relationship between attitudes towards gender roles and self-perception of pregnants. It has been conducted with a web-based descriptive and relationship seeking feature with 257 participants. The research data were collected using the Introductory Information Form and the Self-Perception of Pregnant Scale and the Gender Roles Attitude Scale. In the study, it was found that there is a statistically significant difference between the motherhood perception subscale and age, educational status, employment status, family type, spouse’s education status, gestational week, birth history and the effect of pregnancy on marriage (p <0.05). It was concluded that there was a statistically significant difference between body perception subdimension and educational status (p <0.05). It was concluded that there is a weakly significant correlation between the mean scores of the gender roles scale and the motherhood perception in the positive direction (0.296, p ≤0.001); and the body perception in the negative direction (-0.254, p ≤0.001).
