Abstract:

Each nation has works marking on the world of science, culture has hit the stamp of his works. One of the works dealt with science, culture, civilization, traditions and customs of Turkish world is the book of Mahmûd Kashgary, called Diwânu Lughati't-Turk. In this book written by Arabic language, many Turkish tribes, words, phrases, proverbs, poetries, grammar rules used in their languages, can be discussed at length as Arabic language. We can specify that such as voluminous work about Turks and their tribes was written at the first time. The various studies have been made; panels, symposia, conferences were edited; the articles were written on such a work. In our study, We aimed to investigate Dîvânulugâti 't-Türk firstly in terms of content and then Linguistics.
