Abstract:

The research was carried out with the aim of determining the level of competence in pre-school teachers' character education. In the study, a causal comparison analysis was used. For the measurement of the level of competence in pre-school teachers' character education, the 100 pre-school teachers who work in the parental and independent maternity departments located in Kırşehir Center and districts have been applied the Character Education Competence Faith Scale (KEYIS). Pre-school teachers’ personality education skills levels were studied while gender, professional age, graduation status, the institution they work and age group variables were studied. The research has found that pre-school teachers have high levels of belief in the competence in their personality education. According to the results of the study, the teachers’ personality education competence beliefs have not varied according to gender, professional age, graduation status, the age group in which they work but have significant differences according to the type of school in which they work.
