Abstract:

The general purpose of the study is to study the questioning skills of teachers candidates in terms of certain variables (gender, class level, family income, mother and father education). The research participants are formed by 160 science knowledge teachers candidates who study at the Faculty of Education of a state university. As a data collection tool in the research, the "Survey Skills Scale" developed by Aldan Karademir and Saracaloğlu (2013) was used. Data analysis is done with the SPSS statistical package program. According to the results of the study, the questioning skills of teachers candidates are positive and above the average, the knowledge of women in the benefit of teachers in terms of gender variation, the questioning skills are increased as they go to the top classes in terms of class level, the mother-father educational status and the family income status have not changed. When the field is studied in the summer, there are many studies that show the skills of the teacher candidates in different branches. However, the number of studies in which the knowledge of the teachers’ candidates’ questioning skills are revealed is quite limited. The importance of this study is to assist in the formation of data wealth in this field by exposing the questioning skills of the teachers candidates and to contribute to the take of the necessary measures in accordance with the observed deficiencies.
