İslam coğrafyasında on sekizinci yüzyılın sonlarında, iç ve dış nedenlerle askeri alanda başlayan modernleşme hareketleri, on dokuzuncu yüzyılla birlikte bir ivme kazanmıştır. Bu dönemde yaşanan değişim ve dönüşüm tek bir alanla sınırlı kalmayıp, toplumsal, ekonomik ve siyasal alanları içeren daha kapsamlı bir hal almıştır. Osmanlı modernleşmesinin etkileri zihinsel alana yansıyarak muhalif bir aydınlar grubu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Aynı dönemde Rusya’da Müslümanların içinde bulundukları durum Ceditçilerin ortaya çıkmasına sebep olmuştur. Bu çalışmada tarihsel karşılaştırmalı yöntemle Jön Türkler ve Ceditçilik hareketlerinin benzerlik ve farklılıkları birincil ve ikincil kaynaklar üzerinden incelenmektedir. Karşılaştırma unsuru olarak bu hareketlerin siyasal hedefleri, din algıları, toplumsal ve entelektüel kökenleri ele alınmaktadır.
In the Islamic geography, modernization movements that began in the military field at the end of the eighteenth century, for internal and external reasons, gained a momentum with the nineteenth century. The change and transformation in this period has not been limited to a single field, but has become a more comprehensive state that includes social, economic and political spheres. The effects of the Ottoman modernization reflected the mental sphere and revealed a group of opposition light. At the same time, the situation that the Muslims were in Russia has led to the appearance of the Cediths. In this study, the historical comparative method of the similarities and differences of the Jön Turks and Ceditism movements is studied through primary and secondary sources. As a comparison element, the political objectives of these movements, religious perceptions, social and intellectual origins are addressed.
