Abstract:

In this notification, there will be discussed the Kyrgyz lexicography contribution of K. KARASAYEV and K. K. YUDAHIN. Dictionaries has a very important role in the formation of the standard language. The Kyrgyz writing language has been formed in the XX century at the end of the first quarter. K. KARASAYEV and K. K. YUDAHIN has a big effect both in creating the Kyrgyz writing language and in the Kyrgyz lexicography. In this labor will be analyzed the various prints of the Kyrgyz spelling guide that was done by K. KARASAYEV who helped in forming of dictionaries in Kyrgyzstan and editor of all the variants of the Kyrgyz alphabet,and the Kyrgz-Russian dictionary of K. K. YUDAHIN will be dealed with all the differences of the prints. The Kyrgyz-Russian dictionaries first print was in the year of 1940, the second print was in 1965, the third print was in 1985 and the fourth was done in the 1999. YUDAHIN's dictionary has a very big reputation which shows the Kyrgyz word treasures and the usages of the words. Yudahin started the work in 1920 with collecting the materials like textbooks, newspapers, magazines and folklore. This dictionary consists of the Kyrgyz languages word treasure, historical and etnographic idioms, folklore materials, old idioms and approximately two thousand idioms and proverbs. This Kyrgyz-Russian dictionary is also an encyclopaedic dictionary because Kyrgyz tradition with its history and culture has a rich content.
