Abstract:

This study was conducted with the aim of exploring the variable role of organizational commitment in the relationship between organizational communication and the organizational silence behavior of employees. In the study, "organic communication" was studied as independent variables, while "organic commitment and organizational silence" was studied as dependent variables. In this context, organizational communication has been addressed with the subdimensions of "virtual communication, information sharing and managerial behavior", the subdimensions of organizational commitment with the subdimensions of "emotional commitment" and the subdimensions of organizational silence with the subdimensions of "acceptable silence, silence for defense and silence for the benefit of the organization". The survey was carried out to 324 employees in the air service centers operating in Ankara for the work. The study found that organizational communication positively affects employees’ emotional commitment; on the other hand, there were negative meaningful relationships between “organizational communication and organizational silence” and “emotional commitment and organizational silence”. In the relationship between organizational communication and organizational silence in the model, the instrument of organizational (emotional) commitment has been identified as a variable role, in this context, the emotional commitment has been shown to have a negative significant impact on the organizational communication-organizational silence relationship.
