Çok Kriterli Karar Verme Yöntemleriyle Kitlesel Açık Çevrimiçi Kursların Seçim Süreci

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı çok kriterli karar verme yöntemlerini uygulayarak kullanıcılar için en uygun kitlesel açık çevrimiçi kurs (MOOC) platformunun belirlenebilmesine destek olmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda karar verme aşamaları dikkate alınarak uzaktan eğitim alanında görev yapan eğitim uzmanlarının kitlesel açık çevrimiçi kurs platformlarının yapı ve işleyişine ilişkin düşünceleri alınmıştır. Uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda karar süreci için alternatif ve nitelikler belirlenmiştir. MOOC seçimine yönelik katılımcı sayısı, dil sayısı, sertifika türü sayısı, sosyal medya sayısı ve kurum / üniversite işbirliği sayısı nitelikleri yöntemde değerlendirilmiştir. Bu niteliklere sahip olan MOOC alternatifleri ise Futurelearn, EdX, Udemy, Coursera, Khan Academy olarak belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen alternatiflere ait niteliklerin performans değerleri araştırılmıştır ve değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Beş alternatifin seçimine yönelik çok kriterli karar verme yöntemlerinden AHP, TOPSIS ve ELECTRE yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma kapsamında tespit edilen beş değerlendirme kriterine dayanarak MOOC' ların seçim sürecine yönelik bir öneri sunmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, TOPSIS ve AHP yönteminde en uygun kitlesel açık çevrimiçi kurs platformu Khan Academy, ELECTRE yönteminde ise en uygun kitlesel açık çevrimiçi kurs platformları Udemy ve EdX olarak görülmüştür.

Selection Process Of Massive Open Online Courses With Multi Criteria Decision Making Methods

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the most appropriate massive open online courses (MOOC) platform by applying multi-criteria decision making methods for users. For this purpose, the opinions of the education experts working in the field of distance education about the structure and operation of the massive online open courses platforms were received considering the decision-making stages. Alternatives and criteria were determined for the decision process according to the experts’ opinions. The number of participants, the number of supporting languages, the number of certificate types, the number of integrated social media and the number of institutions / universities cooperation were determined as criteria for MOOC selection method. Futurelearn, EdX, Udemy, Coursera and Khan Academy were determined as the MOOC alternatives having these criteria. The performance values of the criteria for the alternatives were examined and considered. AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and ELECTRE (Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la Realité) were employed as multi criteria decision methods for the selection of the alternatives. Within the scope of this study, a proposal was made for the selection process of MOOC based on the five evaluation criteria. As a result of the study, while Khan Academy is the most appropriate MOOC platforms according to TOPSIS and AHP method, Udemy and EdX are the most suitable MOOC platforms in accordance with ELECTRE method.
