Bu araştırmanın amacı İlkokul Türkçe ders kitaplarında bulunan öyküleyici metinlerde İlkokul Türkçe Programı’nda belirtilen kök değerlerin hangi düzeyde bulunduğunu belirlemek ve bu değerlere ilişkin öğretmen görüşlerini almaktır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışmasının kullanıldığı bu araştırmada doküman analizi yöntemi ile Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki öyküleyici metinlerde yer alan değerler incelenmiştir. İlkokul Türkçe ders kitapları incelendiğinde kök değerlerin her sınıf düzeyinde artırılarak metinlerde yer aldığı ancak değerlerin metinlerde yer alma sıklığının dengeli olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Diğer bir amaca yönelik olarak öğretmenlerin değerlere ilişkin görüşleri Gaziantep ilindeki merkeze bağlı ilkokullarda görev yapan 17 sınıf öğretmeni ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme soruları ile alınmıştır. İçerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilen bulgulara göre, öğretmenlerin tamamı değerler eğitimine yönelik uygulamalardan sonra, öğrencilerin büyük bir kısmında, özellikle küçük yaş gruplarında değişiklik olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Öğretmenlerin, okulda ve toplumda yaşanan şiddet olayları gibi çeşitli sorunların yalnızca okulda verilen değerler eğitimi ile önlenemeyeceği görüşüne sahip oldukları, ailenin de işe koşulması gerektiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca değerler eğitiminde yer alan değer ifadelerinin soyut olması ve değer öğretiminin çocukların soyut kavram ve ifadeleri henüz tam olarak anlamlandıramadığı küçük yaşlarda daha etkili olması tezatlığının değerlerin öğretimini zorlaştırdığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to determine the level of root values specified in the Primary School Turkish Curriculum in the narrative texts in the primary school Turkish textbooks and to obtain teachers' opinions on these values.In this case study, the values in the narrative texts in Turkish textbooks were examined with the method of document analysis. When the primary school Turkish textbooks were examined, it was concluded that the root values were increased at each grade level and included in the texts, but the frequency of the values included in the texts was not balanced. For another purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 17 primary school teachers. The answers given by the teachers were analyzed using the content analysis method. According to the data, after the practices for values education, all of the teachers stated that there was a change in most of the students, especially in younger age groups. Teachers had the view that various problems such as violence in the school and in the society could not be prevented only with the values education given at school, and the family should also be employed.
