Abstract:

Recitation differences have an important place in the works of commentary written throughout history and contribute to the understanding of the verses. Abū Al-Faraj Ibn Al-Jawzī, who has written works in many fields of Islamic sciences, includes the differences in recitation in his work named Zad al-masir fi 'ilm al-tafsir, which he wrote about the interpretation of the Qur'an and makes extensive use of recitations in this short and understandable commentary. In the interpretation of the verses in which he explains the differences in recitation, Ibn Al-Jawzī comments on the relationship between the recitations and the Arabic language, which is the language of the Qur'an. Regarding the reading of different recitations, he cites the different use of some words by the Arabs on the basis of dialect at the time the Qur'an was revealed, as the reason for the different readings, and also explains how the words are used in which dialect. It also touches on the reason for these recitations within the framework of the Arabic language's usage and syntax rules regarding the differences in recitation. In this context, it tries to explain the differences of recitation in relation to the relationship between language, on the basis of Arabic language dialects and the rules of grammar and syntax. While explaining the differences of recitation, it gives place to the connection of the recitations with the dialect, nahiv rules within the framework of its relationship with the Arabic language and makes explanations on these issues. In this article, the relationship between the recitation differences and the Arabic language, which Ibn Al-Jawzī included in his work named Zad al-masir fi 'ilm al-tafsir, will be tried to be examined through the examples we will give.
