Bu çalışmanın amacı literatürde iki ideal kapitalizm türü olarak tanımlanan liberal piyasa ekonomileri ve eşgüdümlü piyasa ekonomilerinde işsizlik davranışının doğal işsizlik oranı ile mi yoksa işsizlik histerisi ile mi açıklanacağını ampirik olarak araştırmaktır. Bu amaçla 1993-2017 dönemi için çeyrek yıllık veriler kullanılmıştır. İlk olarak, yatay kesit bağımlılığını dikkate alan panel birim kök testleri uygulanmıştır. Ardından işsizlik histerisi hipotezi olası yapısal kırılmaları dikkate alan, doğrusal birim kök testleri kullanılarak iki ülke grubu için bireysel olarak test edilmiştir. Ampirik sonuçlar eşgüdümlü piyasa ekonomileri için histeri hipotezinin ve liberal piyasa ekonomileri için doğal oran hipotezinin daha uygun hipotezler olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.
The aim of this study is to experimentally explore whether the unemployment behavior in the liberal market economies, defined as two types of ideal capitalism in literature, and in the coherent market economies, will be explained by the natural unemployment rate or by the unemployment hystery. For this purpose, quarter-year data for the period 1993-2017 were used. First, panel unit root tests that take into account the horizontal cutting dependency have been applied. The linear unit, which then takes into account possible structural breakdowns in the hypothesia of unemployment hysteria, was tested individually for a group of two countries using root tests. The empirical results show that hysteric hypothesis for coherent market economies and natural rate hypothesis for liberal market economies are more suitable hypotheses.
