Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to examine the acceptance of social information teachers candidates to use short message services in education in the framework of the WhatsApp example and the Technology Admission Model. Research quality research methods have been carried out in the situation study model, and social information teacher candidates use WhatsApp for educational purposes Technology Admission Model created with the open-end conversation form and the findings collected from data from 30 teacher candidates. The data collected within the framework of the research is interpreted through visual and content analysis. When the findings obtained from the results of the research are examined, social information is shown that the teacher candidates use WhatsApp app mostly for the purpose of sharing, chat, photo sharing, video sharing, voice conversation, video conversation, situation sharing-persons related to classes, and for educational purposes for the purpose of sharing information/information, task sharing, cooperation, exchange of ideas and communication. When the findings for the perception of utility regarding the use of teachers candidates for educational purposes are examined, the teachers candidates will use the most information sharing, news exchange, time saving, communication and cooperation, and group awareness creation, they find useful in terms of exchange of ideas, the preference of the whatsapp application in terms of economicity, spreadness, functionality and performance, and in future professional life they will use the whatsapp application for educational purposes, teacher-student interaction, teacher-student interaction, student-student interaction.
