Salgınla birlikte, öğretmenler acil uzaktan eğitime geçiş yapmış ve salgın süreci hem öğretimde hem de öğrenmede paradigma değişimini hızlandırmıştır. Bu araştırmada, ortaokul sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin süreçte uzaktan eğitim ve yüz-yüze eğitime ilişkin fenomenlerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma modeli olan çoklu durum çalışması olarak desenlenmiş ve veriler çevrim-içi olarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmada, harmanlanmış öğrenmenin etkililiği, yararları, yaşanılan sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Bulgulara göre, öğretmenlerin uzaktan öğretimdeki ihtiyaçları ilk olarak uzaktan öğretime yönelik eğitim alma, ikincisi ise teknolojik araç ve alt yapı oluşturulması olmuştur. Diğer bulgu ise teknolojik alt yapı eksikliği hem kamu hem de özel okullar süreçte hazırlıksız yakalmıştır. Bulgular arasında, kamu okullarında öğretmenlerden bazıları inisiyatif alarak öğretim programını uzaktan eğitime uyarlarken özel okullarda böyle bir esnekliğin tanınmadığı görülmüştür. Son olarak, acil uzaktan eğitimi daha verimli kullanmak, sınıf yönetimininde karşılaşılacak sorunları en aza indirmek ve öğrenci katılımını sağlamak için öğretmenler çoğunlukla soru-cevap tekniğinin yanı sıra düz anlatımı tercih etmişlerdir.
Covid-19 has initiated the paradigm shift in both teaching and learning in the emergency distance education. The study is aimed at determining the phenomena on the distance and face-to-face education during Covid-19. The research was designed as a multiple-case study and the data were collected via online-interview. In the study, the effectiveness, benefits, and faced problems of the blended learning have been profoundly analyzed. As for the findings, the readiness of teachers needs for in-service training on distance education, and the technological means. Another finding is the reason of the unpreparedness of public and private schools is the lack of technological infrastructure. More, teacher in private schools is in an agency-proof while teachers in public took the initiative to adapt the curriculum to the distance education. In conclusion, teachers mostly preferred didactic lectures as well as question-answer technique to entail the classroom management to minimize the problems for student participation.
