Türkler tarih boyunca çok sayıda alfabe kullanmışlardır. Bunlardan Latin ve Kiril alfabeleri daha yakın tarihte kullanılmaya başlandıkları için dışarıda bırakılırsa Arap ve Uygur alfabelerinin geniş bir sahada asırlarca Türkler tarafından kullandıkları ifade edilebilir. Her alfabe değişimi Türkçeye yeni alıntı kelimelerin giriş kapısını açmıştır. Özellikle İslamiyet’in kabulünden sonra Türkçeye çok sayıda Arapça ve Farsça kelime girmiştir. Fakat bu alıntı kelimelerin yazımı noktasında aynı alfabeyi kullanıyor olmanın getirdiği bir alışkanlıktan olsa gerek müstensihlerin çoğu zaman alıntı sözcükleri orijinal imlalarına sadık kalarak yazdıkları görülür. Arap alfabesiyle yazılan söz konusu Türkçe metinlerde yer alan Arapça ve Farsça sözcüklerin Latin alfabesiyle transkripsiyonlarının nasıl olacağı konusu Türkoloji’nin tartışma konularından biridir. Çalışmamız Arap harfli metin yayımı üzerine yoğunlaşmadığı için transkripsiyon ve transliterasyon terimlerine ilişkin görüşlere yer vermekle yetinilmiştir. Arap harfli Türkçe metinlerde yer alan Arapça ve Farsça kelimelerin transkripsiyonu hususunda Uygur harfli metinlerin imlasından ne ölçüde faydalanılabileceğini tespit etmek amacıyla Atebetü’l-Hakayık’ın A ve B nüshaları ile Kutadgu Bilig’in Herat nüshasında ortak olan Arapça ve Farsça kökenli kelimeler incelenmiştir. Özellikle, Arapça ve Farsça kelimelerin asli imlalarında gösterilmeyen kısa ünlülerin Uygur harfli metinlerde Uygur imla geleneğinin bir yansıması olarak tüm ünlü sesleriyle yazıldığı görülmüştür.
Turkish people have used many alphabets throughout their history. If the Latin and Kirill alphabets are left out because they began to be used in the nearest history, the Arab and Uighur alphabets have been used by the Turks for centuries. Every alteration of the alphabet has opened the entrance to the new cited words to Turkey. In particular, after the acceptance of Islam, a lot of Arabic and Persian words entered Turkey. But this quote is from the habit of using the same alphabet at the point of writing of the words, it is often seen that the citated words are written by faithful to their original images. The topic of the transcription of Arabic and Persian words in the Arabic alphabet is one of the topics of the discussion of Turkology. Because our study is not focused on the publication of Arabic literary text, it is sufficient to provide views on transcription and transliteration terms. The Arabic and Persian translation of Arabic and Persian words in Arabic literary Turkish texts has been studied Arabic and Persian words of origin, which are common in the Herat node of Kutadgu Bilig, in order to determine how much it can be used from the imlas of Uyghur literary texts. In particular, it has been seen that short celebrity that are not shown in the original imiles of Arabic and Persian words are written in Uyghur literary texts with all the famous voices as a reflection of the Uyghur imla tradition.
Turks have used many alphabets throughout history. Latin and Cyrillic alphabets have been used more recently. If we exclude these, it can be stated that the Arabic and Uighur alphabets were used by Turks in a wide area for centuries. Each alphabet change has paved the way for the introduction of new loanwords into Turkish. Especially after the adoption of Islam, many Arabic and Persian words entered Turkish. However, due to the habit of using the same alphabet in the spelling of these quoted words, it is observed that most of the time, the authors write the quoted words faithful to their original spelling. Speech written in the Arabic alphabet The issue of how the Arabic and Persian words in Turkish texts will be transcribed with the Latin alphabet is one of the discussion issues in Turcology. Since our study did not focus on the publication of Arabic script, opinions on the terms transcription and transliteration were just given. In order to determine whether the orthography of Uyghur texts can be used in the transcription of Arabic and Persian words in Arabic-lettered Turkish texts, Arabic and Persian words common to copies A and B of Atebetü'l-Hakayık and Herat copy of Kutadgu Bilig were analysed. In particular, it was observed that short vowels, which were not shown in the original orthographies of Arabic and Persian words, were written with all their vowel sounds in Uyghur texts.
