İnsanlar hayatları boyunca birçok gruba girmekte ve üye olmaktadır. Gönüllü olarak üye olunan bu gruplar kişinin sosyal kimliğini etkileyerek yeni bir sosyal kimliğin ortaya çıkmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı ise serbest zamanlarında motosiklet ile seyahat eden ve bir motosiklet grubuna üye olan motosiklet kullanıcılarının sosyal kimliklerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Aynı zamanda bu çalışmada motosiklet kullanıcılarına özgü sosyal kimlik ölçeğinin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel ve nicel yöntemler kullanılarak dört aşamada veri toplanmıştır. Nitel yöntemler olarak 27 kişi ile yarı yapılandırılmış soru formu, 33 kişi ile tam yapılandırılmış soru formu ile mülakatlar yapılmış ve üç adet odak grup çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Daha sonra 486 adet anket toplanmış ve açıklayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, motosiklet gruplarına üye olan bireylerin sosyal kimlik belirleyicilerinin duygusal bağ, güvenlik, özgürlük hissi ve motosiklet ile seyahat etme ve gruba üye olması sonuncunda elde ettiği kazanımlar olarak ortaya çıkmıştır.
People have joined and joined many groups throughout their lives. These voluntarily membership groups make sure that a new social identity emerges by influencing a person’s social identity. The aim of this study is to reveal the social identities of motorcycle users who travel on their free time and are a member of a motorcycle group. This study also aims to develop a specific social identity scale for motorcycle users. In the study, data was collected in four stages using qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualified methods with 27 people half-structured question form, 33 people with full-structured question form interviewed and three focus group work was carried out. Then 486 surveys were collected and the explanatory factor analysis was done. The study found that the social identity determiners of individuals who are members of motorcycle groups have achieved the achievements of traveling and being a member of the group with an emotional connection, security, freedom and feeling.
