Son yıllarda sağlık turizmi sektörü dünya pazarında talebin artması ile beraber hızlı bir gelişme kaydederek rekabete dayalı uluslararası bir endüstri haline gelmiştir. Ülkeler bu gelişmeleri yakından takip etmek, endüstrinin ihtiyaç ve beklentilerini belirlemek ve uluslararası kalite standartlarını yakalayarak taleplere karşılık vermek suretiyle pazardan yeterince pay alabilmeyi öncelikli hedef haline getirmiştir. Türkiye bu sektörde öne çıkan destinasyonlar arasında yerini almasına ve sektörün ortaklarından biri olma isteğine karşın istenilen seviyeye henüz ulaşamamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, sağlık turizmi kapsamında Türkiye’ye gelecek olan medikal turistlerin istek ve beklentilerinin belirlenmesi adına, medikal tedavi alan turistlerin almış oldukları tedavi hizmetlerine yönelik genel yeterlilik algıları ve genel memnuniyetlerinin nasıl olduğunun belirlenmesidir. Bu amaçla araştırmaya sağlık turizmi kapsamında İstanbul ili merkez ve ilçelerindeki özel tedavi merkezlerine başvuran 447 medikal turist katılmıştır. Araştırmanın verilerinin toplanmasında anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ANOVA ve Pearson Korelasyon Analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda medikal turistlerin sağlık turizmi kapsamında aldıkları tedavi hizmetlerine yönelik genel yeterlilik algılarının ve medikal turizm hizmetlerinden genel memnuniyet düzeylerinin aylık toplam gelire, sigorta durumuna ve uyruğa göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda medikal turistlerin medikal turizm hizmetlerinden genel memnuniyet düzeyi ile bölgesel yeterlilik arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı fakat tedavi hizmetlerine yönelik genel yeterlilik algısı konaklama tesisleri yeterliliği algısı, sağlık hizmetleri yeterliliği algısı, emniyet yeterliliği algısı ve ek hizmet yeterliliği algısı arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir.
In recent years, the health tourism sector has become a competitive international industry, recording rapid growth with the increased demand in the world market. The countries have made the priority to be able to obtain sufficient market share by closely monitoring these developments, determining the needs and expectations of the industry, and by meeting international quality standards to meet demands. Turkey has not yet reached the desired level, despite its desire to take its place among the outstanding destinations in this sector and to be one of the sector’s partners. The aim of this study is to determine the desires and expectations of medical tourists who come to Turkey within the framework of health tourism, to determine how the general qualification perceptions and general satisfaction of tourists receiving medical treatment for the treatment services they receive are. For this purpose, 447 medical tourists participated in the research in the field of health tourism in the center of Istanbul and special treatment centers in its districts. The method of survey was used to collect the research data. The analysis of the data has been used by ANOVA and Pearson Correlation Analysis. The study found that the general qualification perceptions for medical tourists in the field of health tourism and the general satisfaction levels for medical tourism services showed a significant difference according to the total monthly income, insurance status and cost. The study found that there is no meaningful relationship between the general satisfaction level of medical tourism services and regional qualification, but the general qualification perception for therapeutic services the accommodation facility qualification perception, the health care qualification perception, the safety qualification perception and the additional service qualification perception have a positive meaningful relationship.
