Abstract:

Arabic and Persian languages have influenced Kazakh Turkish as well as other Turkish languages. Because the Iranians are close to the Turkish hometown as a geographical location, the Persian words entered the Kazakh Turkish and other Turkish languages in earlier periods. The Arabic words began to enter the Turkish languages, including Kazakh, as the Turks accepted Islamism. Words taken from Arabic entered the Kazak Turkish with the influence of Islamic religion, while the words taken from Persian are geographical location, politics, trade, war, etc. For some reasons, the Turkish government has entered Kazakhstan. These words used for a long time have now become unique to Kazakh in writing and speech. The Kazakhs reinterpreted the foreign words they received according to their own mouth’s sound characteristics and their own language habits. Thus, the Arabic and Persian words were exposed to a number of sound events and became appropriate with the Kazak language. Therefore, significant changes have occurred in the Kazak Turkish words taken from Arabic and Persian in terms of sound and meaning according to their original forms. Based on the study "Qazaq Tiliniñ Aymaqtıq Sözdigi (Regional Dictionary of the Kazak Language)" (QTAS), the processes of the admission of Arabic and Persian words to the Kazak Turkish, the reasons for the advanced adaptation of the words received and the phonetic and semantic changes in Arabic and Persian words in QTAS will be examined. Thus, we will try to explain the manifestations of Arabic and Persian in Kazakh Turkish, which are languages in which the Turkish has lived as a neighbor for thousands of years or which are related due to various social events.
