Bu çalışmanın amacı; fen ve teknoloji dersinde animasyon uygulamalarının öğrenci başarısına etkisi olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla araştırmada, ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinde, “Canlılar ve Enerji İlişkileri” ünitesinin öğretiminde, animasyonlarla desteklenmiş yapılandırmacı yaklaşımın öğrenci akademik başarısına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak bu ünite ile ilgili bir başarı testi geliştirilmiş olup, bu test deney ve kontrol gruplarına ön test ve son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre; deney grubuna uygulanan animasyonlarla desteklenmiş yapılandırmacı yaklaşımın, kontrol grubuna uygulanan yapılandırmacı yaklaşıma göre akademik başarıyı arttırmada daha etkili olduğu ve deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.
The objective of this study is to present the influence of the animated applications on the performance of science and technology course students. For this purpose, the constructivist approach supported by animations has been investigated in “Living Creatures & Energy Relations’’ topic on the 8th year class secondary school students’ success. An achievement test has been developed as a data gathering tool and this test has been utilized as pre and post testing. According to the results obtained, the constructivist approach supported by animations applied on the experimental group has been more affective to increase the academical success than the constructivist approach applied on the control group.
