Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, çalışanlar için son derece önemli olan iş doyumunu, olguyu etkileyen bireysel etkenler açısından incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda İzmir’de çalışan 154 yerel yönetim çalışanının iş doyum düzeyleri Minnesota İş Tatmini Ölçeği ile ölçülmüş, ankette yer alan ifadelerin, değişkenleri ölçme gücünün açıklanabilmesi için faktör analizi yapılmış ve elde edilen veriler; cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim düzeyi, iş deneyimi, hizmet süresi ve statü gibi demografik değişkenlere göre karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, yerel yönetim çalışanlarının iş doyumunun cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim düzeyi, iş deneyimi, hizmet süresi ve statü değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı sonucunu ortaya koymuştur. Konu ile ilgili ileride araştırma yapacak araştırmacıların, bu araştırmada tespit edilen, iş doyumunu etkileyen bireysel demografik faktörler yanında diğer faktörleri de ele almaları yararlı olacaktır.
