Türkiye Türkçesinin ölçünlü dilini işleyen Türkçe sözlüklerin içerdiği söz varlığı ile birlikte madde başı sözler için verilen anlamlar, bu anlamların sayısı ve sıralanışı, sözlere ilişkin kimi bilgiler, zaman içinde dilin doğal gelişimine koşut değişimler göstermiştir. Bununla birlikte madde başı niteliğindeki kimi alıntı sözlerin kaynak dillerine ve özgün biçimlerine ilişkin bilgilerin farklı kurumların ya da kişilerin hazırlayıp birbirine yakın tarihlerde yayımladığı Türkçe sözlüklerde bile tutarlı olmadığı görülmektedir. Bu kaynaklarda, çoğu kez bir sözün hangi yabancı dilden alındığı ya da o dildeki özgün biçiminin ne olduğu konusunda görüş birliğine varılamadığı hatta aynı sözlüğün değişik baskılarının bile her iki açıdan farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye Türkçesininin ölçünlü diline ilişkin söz varlığı ögelerini içeren Türkçe sözlükler, yabancı kökenli sözcükler için verilen kaynak dil ve özgün biçim bilgileri açısından karşılaştırılmıştır. Bunun için TDK’nin yayımladığı Türkçe Sözlük (TDK 2005, TDK 2011), Dil Derneği’nin yayımladığı Türkçe Sözlük (DD 2012) ve Püskülllüoğlu’nun hazırladığı Türkçe Sözlük (Püsküllüoğlu 2012) incelenmiştir. Böylece hem aynı sözlüğün son iki baskısı hem de farklı kişi ya da kurumların yayımlandığı Türkçe sözlüklerin son baskıları karşılaştırılarak araştırma konusuna ilişkin verilerde belirlenen farklılıkların sınıflandırılmasına ve değerlendirilmesine çalışılmıştır. Kimi durumlarda, bu kaynaklara ek olarak TDK’nin hazırladığı Güncel Türkçe Sözlük ve Yazım Kılavuzu Yoğun Diski (TDK-YD) ile Genel Ağ sayfasında hizmete sunduğu Güncel Türkçe Sözlük (TDK-GTS) ve Türkçede Batı Kökenli Kelimeler Sözlüğü (TDK-BKKS)’den de yararlanılmıştır.

Together with the lexicon of the Turkish dictionaries that embodies the standard language of the Turkish, the meanings provided for lexical entries, and the number and order of these words as well as the information about them have gone through a parallel development to the natural development of language in time. However, the information on the source languages and original morphology of some loan words as lexical entries are found to be inconsistent in the Turkish dictionaries published by different institutions or writers on dates similar to each other. It has been found in these resources that there is usually no agreement on the language from which a word is borrowed or on the original morphology of the word in that language, and that even the different editions of the same dictionary differ from each other in these two aspects. In this study, the Turkish dictionaries, covering the standard lexicon of the Turkish, have been compared in terms of the source language and the original morphology for the loan words. For this reason, the Turkish dictionaries published by Turkish Language Society (TDK 2005, TDK 2011), by Language Association (DD 2012) and by Püsküllüoğlu (Püsküllüoğlu 2012) have been examined in this study. Thus, by comparing both the last two editions of the same dictionary and the latest editions of the Turkish dictionaries published by different institutions and writers, the differences determined in the data of the research have been classified and evaluated. On some occasions, updated Turkish Dictionary and Spelling Dictionary Compact Disc designed by Turkish Language Society (TDK-YD), updated Turkish Dictionary provided in general network (TDK-GTS) and the Dictionary of the Words of Foreign Origin (TDK-BKKS) have also been used here in addition to the other sources.
