Abstract:

The same Ayla Kutlu, who contributes to modern Turkish literature with his works of many different kinds, such as stories, novels, children's books, chooses the important events and periods that direct their novels to the social structure as a historical background, and from here he moves to transmit his messages to the reader with the alternative history understanding he shapes himself. Ayla Kutlu's last novel is Asi and Osman's history from the last period to the 2000s. When taken into account the chronological ranking of the novels, the author is a Immigrant Bird and the continuation of this novel is that the Emir Mr. and his Daughters with the name Asi... Asi are focused on a distant understanding of history in the works; and this distance has reached a mythical time with the Women's Destiny. The fact that the artist has placed the narrative of the events that extend from the Anatolian geography to the Caucasus with mythological elements can be considered as the journey of existence of the universal man over the world. In this study, the mythical definition and characteristics, based on the relationship between mythology and literature, the mythical elements passed in the last novel of Ayla Kutlu, Asi'• will be subjected to a division by taking advantage of the symbolism of the horizontal and vertical dimensions, and the novel will try to identify the symbols of the horizontal dimensions. Also, the symbols of the vertical size will be the subject of another article.
