Temel Eğitimden Ortaöğretime Geçiş (TEOG) sınavları 2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılından itibaren ortaokulların 8. sınıflarında Türkçe, matematik, fen ve teknoloji, din kültürü ve ahlak bilgisi, T.C. inkılap tarihi ve Atatürkçülük, yabancı dil dersleri için uygulanmaya başlayan ortak sınavlardır. Öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını ölçmek ve ortaokulu bitiren öğrencilerin devam edeceği liseleri belirlemek için bu sınavlardan alınan puanlarına bakılmaktadır. Bu çalışma TEOG sınavı matematik sorularının Yenilenmiş Bloom Taksonomisi’ne (YBT) göre dağılımını incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılı 1. dönem uygulanan TEOG sınavı matematik dersi soruları YBT’nin bilişsel süreç ve bilgi boyutlarında sınıflandırılmıştır. Araştırma verileri, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, soruların YBT’nin bilişsel süreç boyutuna göre alt bilişsel basamaklara yığıldığı, dengesiz olarak dağıldığı, değerlendirme ve yaratma basamağında soru bulunmadığı, ayrıca soruların bilgi boyutunda kavramsal ve işlemsel bilgi düzeylerinde yer aldığı, hiçbir sorunun üst düzey zihinsel aktiviteleri gerektiren üst bilişsel bilgi seviyesinde olmadığı görülmüştür.
