Bu araştırmada öğretmenlerin, öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik özyeterlik algılarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin öz-yeterlik algı düzeylerinin, cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, görev yapılan okul türü, eğitim düzeyi ve görev yapılan yerleşim yerlerine göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği araştırmanın alt amaçlarıdır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2013–2014 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya il merkezinde ve ilçelerinde Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı kamu okullarında çalışan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise Konya ili sınırları içerisindeki anaokulu, ilkokul, ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan 498 öğretmenden meydana gelmiştir. Araştırmada, öğretmenlerin öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik özyeterlik algılarını belirlemek amacıyla, Tschannen-Moran ve Woolfolk Hoy tarafından 2001 yılında geliştirilen ve Türkçeye uyarlanan ölçek kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin, öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik özyeterlik algılarının cinsiyete göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşmadığı; kıdem, okulun yerleşim yeri, görev yapılan okul türü ve öğrenim dereceleri değişkenlerine göre ise anlamlı biçimde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir.
This study is aimed at determining teachers’ perceptions of self-sufficiency towards the teaching profession. Teachers' self-sufficiency perception levels are the sub-objectives of the research that differentiate according to gender, professional age, type of school in charge, level of education and place of residence in charge. The universe of research is formed by teachers working in public schools associated with the National Education Directorate in the province of Konya in the 2013-2014 educational year. The study was a sample of 498 teachers working in parental, primary, secondary and secondary schools within the border of Konya. The study used a scale developed in 2001 by Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk Hoy and adapted to Turkish in order to determine the teachers' perceptions of self-sufficiency towards the teaching profession. The study found that teachers' perceptions of self-sufficiency to the teaching profession did not differ significantly according to gender, but significantly differentiated according to age, place of establishment of the school, type of school in charge and the degree of education.
