İnsanların fizyolojik, psikolojik ve sosyal açıdan tam bir iyilik halinde olmaları için faaliyet gösteren sağlık kuruluşları yapısal çevrenin insan sağlığı üzerindeki zararlarını en aza indirmek, tüketicilerin değişen taleplerini karşılamak ve gelecek nesillerin ihtiyaç duyacağı kıt kaynakları da verimli bir şekilde kullanmak durumundadır. Çevreye duyarlı hastaneler, tasarımlarını yeşil hastane olarak planlamakta ve kaynakları verimli bir şekilde kullanmayı amaçlamaktadır. Yeşil binalar doğaya saygılı, ekolojik, konforlu ve enerji tüketimini azaltan binalar olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Günümüzde artan bir hızla gelişen teknolojiye bağlı olarak üretim miktarı artmış ancak bu doğal kaynakların azalmasına ve çevreye daha fazla zarar verilmesine neden olmuştur. Ancak gerek internet gerekse sosyal medya sayesinde tüketicilerde çevre bilinci artmış ve tüketiciler artık tercihlerini çevre dostu, sürdürülebilir ürünlerden yana kullanmaya başlamışlardır. Bu çalışmada sağlık hizmeti kullanıcılarının yeşil hastane farkındalık düzeyleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmaya dahil olan katılımcı sayısı 439’dur. Yeşil hastane farkındalık boyutları enerji verimliliği, su verimliliği, iç çevre kalitesi, materyal ve kaynaklar, sürdürülebilir site planlaması ve yönetimi olarak ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda sağlık hizmeti kullanıcılarının hastanelerin iç çevre kalitesi, materyal-kaynaklar ve sürdürülebilir site planlaması-yönetimi konusunda farkındalık düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür.
Health organizations that operate to ensure that people are fully well-being from a physiological, psychological and social point of view must minimize the damage of the structural environment to human health, meet the changing demands of consumers and efficiently use the weak resources that future generations will need. Environmentally sensitive hospitals plan their designs as green hospitals and aim to use resources efficiently. Green buildings are defined as nature-respectful, ecological, comfortable and energy consumption reducing buildings. Today, due to the rapidly developing technology, production has increased, but this has led to a decrease in natural resources and more damage to the environment. But the need for the internet and social media thanks to consumers’ environmental awareness has increased and consumers have now begun to use their preferences for environmentally friendly, sustainable products. In this study, healthcare users were trying to determine the level of awareness of green hospitals. The number of participants involved in the study is 439 people. The green hospital awareness dimensions are addressed as energy efficiency, water efficiency, quality of the interior environment, materials and resources, sustainable site planning and management. The study found that healthcare users have higher levels of awareness about the quality of the hospital’s interior environment, material-resources and sustainable site planning-management.

Green buildings are defined as environmentally friendly, ecological, comfortable, and as building that reduce energy consumption. Nowadays, the amount of production has increased due to the rapidly developing technology, but this has led to a decrease in natural resources and further damage to the environment. However, thanks to both internet and social media, environmental awareness has increased among consumers and consumers have begun to use their preferences for environment friendly, sustainable products. This study aims to determine the green hospital awareness levels of health service users, and has 439 participants. Green hospital awareness indicators are determined as energy efficiency, water efficiency, internal environment quality, materials and resources, and sustainable site planning and management. The results of the study show that health service users have a higher awareness level on internal environment quality, materials and resources, and sustainable site planning and management.
