This study was performed for the purpose of demonstrating the influences of regular musical instrument and vocal education practices in music courses instructed in second grade classes of primary schools on cognitive, sensorial and psychomotor behaviors, musical lives and self-respect of students relating to music. It was aimed to identify which of regular vocal and musical instrument education methods have more favorable effects on the students as to aforementioned dependent variables. With this regard, an experimental method was followed in the study. Two eighth classes, one for experiment group and the other for control group were designated for the experiment. Prior to the experiment, both groups were given Musical Knowledge Test, Attitude Meter Relating to Music, Questionnaire Relating to Musical Life and Wifam Self- Respect Test to quantify introduction levels of both groups as to dependant variables. At the end of experimental period, students were given the tests applied in introduction and final level of student was found as to dependant variables and testing period was completed. In accordance with the results obtained from preliminary test prior to experiment and final tests after experiment, it was found that musical instruction method based on regular musical instrument education had a much more favorable influence on students than musical instruction method based on regular vocal education as to musical knowledge, musical attitude and musical life and enabled students get closer to the goals specified in education programs as to musical knowledge, attitude and musical life levels. Besides, neither instruction method had  favorable effects on the student with regard to self-respect levels.
