Araştırma, lise öğrencilerinin Öğrenci Seçme Sınavına yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada betimsel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 1306 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırma verileri, Ekici (2005) tarafından geliştirilen “Öğrenci Seçme Sınavına (ÖSS) Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Ölçeğin Cronbach-Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı 0.88 olarak bulunmuştur. Veriler, betimsel istatistik, bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve Tukey HSD testi teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, öğrencilerin Öğrenci Seçme Sınavına (ÖSS) yönelik tutum puanları orta düzeydedir. Tutum puanları cinsiyete, kayıtlı bulundukları sınıflara, kayıtlı bulundukları lisedeki genel akademik başarılarına ve ailelerinin aylık gelirlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterirken, öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri öğretim kurumuna ve mezun oldukları ilköğretimin bulunduğu yerleşim birimine göre farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir.
The research was done to determine high school students’ attitudes towards the Student Selection Exam. In the study, a visual scan method was used. The study group consisted of 1306 students. The research data was collected with the "Student Selection Exam (SSC) Attitude Scale" developed by Ekici (2005). The Cronbach-Alfa reliability ratio of the measure was 0.88. Data, visual statistics, independent group t-tests, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) and Tukey HSD testing techniques have been analyzed. As a result, students’ attitude points towards the Student Selection Exam (SSC) are on a medium level. The attitude scores differ significantly according to gender, the classes in which they are registered, the overall academic achievements in the high school in which they are registered and the monthly income of their families, while the students are not determined to differ according to the educational institution in which they are studying and the settlement unit in which they are graduated.
