Abstract:

The housing and settlement in Anatolia has been formed the texture of cities with from culture to culture architecture and artistic changes since the beginning of the history. Cities scattered throughout Anatolia during the ages showed a constant historical development and change. In Turkey, which has melted many civilizations within it, the comprehension of ancient cities and the integrity of urban evolution can provide us with not only to appreciate its rootedness and rich diversity, but also to see that the difference of the future is hidden in our understanding of society. İn this article, it was determined  the Anatolian geography’s urban texture, social life and cultural characteritics,which has been hosted by many civilizations, examined the evolution in the historical process and presented the cultural accumulation of the Anatolian cities.
