Abstract:

Language and its effect in the cultural integrity have been discussed from different angels as a phenomenon for about 100 years. Since there is an interaction between language and culture, the emergence of linguistic concepts in the material and spirituals changes the culture of the society. This change puts forward that the language is a very important element in cultural identity occurring within a unity and integrity. In some cases, in the formation of the cultural identity by emphasizing unity of language, ethnic languages of the other nations break down and in a sense, ethnic language slaughter. From another aspect, this phenomenon that reconstructs by taking into account cultural and ethnic identity of the community throughout the history considers interaction of ethnicity and culture. Meanwhile, for centuries two neighbours such as Turk and Persian living together and next to each other have been interacted closely and inevitably each other cultural and social aspects. Culture, tradition and customs, terms, proverbs, idioms, stories, words, and even their faces have been influenced and similar each other of these both nations. No doubt, it is remarkable that both of these cultures and languages have been influenced each other when we look for books, dictionaries, and encyclopaedias written in Turkish and Persian. Accordingly, in this article first of all it has been examined how the dominant language and culture impacts another language and culture of ethnicity. Then, it is studied carefully how Turkish and Persian culture and language have been influenced each other.
