Abstract:

Today, the leadership topic has gained a great importance in the study of management science. In light of these studies, many research has been done on the emerging different styles of leadership. The transformative leadership style is one of these leadership styles. The transformative leadership has the ability to train new leaders from those who follow significant differences, as well as its characteristics that are similar to or cover them with other types of leadership. This feature demonstrates the importance of focusing not only on the success of organizations, but also on the personal success of the followers. For example, as travel agencies are a sector that demands intense work and energy, this feature is considered to be a very important element of commitment to employers. This study, which aims to investigate these important developments in the field of travel agencies application, is aimed at investigating the impact of the transformative leadership characteristics of managers on the organizational commitments of employers. According to the results obtained, the agency managers were trying to give recommendations. The research is covered by the travel agency staff of the A Group that operates in Adana Province. The research finds that transformative leadership affects emotional, normative and continuous commitment.
