Abstract:

The social and organizational life having been subject to change over the course of time as a consequence of the effects of globalization has led to parallel changes in topics researched and discussed in the literature of administration. One result of this course is that “human-centered” models have come to rest in a significant position in economic development and progress and that “entrepreneurship”, the productivity power peculiar to human being, has gained a great significance. The other result is that the important questions surrounding policy and economy have been to be expressed and analyzed much more assertively in terms of culture. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to elucidate the situation our country has reached regarding "entrepreneurship" in connection with the topic "culture". For this reason, in this study, the effects of national culture over entrepreunership is emphasized and an appeal to the reasons why entrepreneurship could not have been developed in Turkey is made.
