Arapların arşivi (dîvânü’l-ʻarab) olarak kabul edilen, sahip olduğu güçlü anlatım ve İslâm öncesi döneme ait barındırdığı sosyal ve kültürel malumat sebebiyle tarih boyunca istişhâd kaynağı olarak önemini muhafaza eden Cahiliye şiiri, o dönem kadını hakkında da aydınlatıcı bilgiler sunmaktadır. Cahiliye kadınının toplum içerisindeki konumuna dair çok sayıda çalışma olmasına rağmen konuyu şiirler üzerinden ele alarak ahlaki vasıfları ve güzellik algısı bağlamında Cahiliye kadını imajını işleyen çalışmalar yok denecek kadar azdır. Bu yazıda Cahiliye şairlerinin şiirlerinden hareketle o dönemdeki kadın imajı, kadının ahlaki vasıfları, güzel bir kadında aranan nitelikler ve Araplar nezdinde ideal kadın modeli gibi hususlarda tespitler yapılmaya çalışılacak, ortaya çıkan sonucun Kur’an mesajındaki yansıması araştırılacaktır.
The poem of the ignorance, which is considered as the archive of the Arabs (dîvânü’l-‘arab), has a strong narrative and a social and cultural contribution that belongs to the pre-Islam period, which retains its importance as a source of consultation throughout the history, also provides enlightening information about the woman of that period. Although there are numerous studies on the position of the ignorant woman in society, the subject is addressed through poems and in the context of the moral qualities and the perception of beauty, the work that processes the image of the ignorant woman is not enough to disappear. In this article, by moving from the poems of the ignorant poets, we will try to identify aspects such as the female image of that period, the moral qualities of the woman, the qualities sought in a beautiful woman and the ideal female model for the Arabs, the outcome will be investigated in the reflection in the Quran message.
