Abstract enThe aim of the study is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool that helps to gather data about the quality of faculty life. “Quality of School Life Scale”, developed to reach this goal, was applied to 502 students from different faculties of Ankara University. These students were, sophomores, juniors and seniors. The initial form of the scale was submitted to 15 different experts for suggestions. At the end of the necessary corrections and changes the tool was ready to be applied. Following the application, a factor analysis was used to determine the construct validity of the tool. As a result of the factor analysis, it was observed that the tool had a structure of three sub- dimensions. Cronbach alpha reliability coefficients calculated to determine reliability of the tool ranged from 0.67 to 0.83 for the sub-dimensions and it was shown that the coefficient was 0.87 for the overall scale. Hence, it can be said that the tool devised is a valid and reliable tool of measurement in order to assess the quality of faculty life.
