This study aims to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool that can be used to determine exercise addiction. The research, designed in mixed model, consists of a total of 178 physical education and sport teacher candidates participated in who playing actively sports and study at Faculty of Sports Sciences of Gazi University (n = 80) and Faculty of Sports Sciences of Selçuk University (n = 98) in the academic year 2016-2017. SPSS 23 package program was used for validity and reliability studies of the scale. Lisrel 8.80 was also used in the confirmatory factor analysis process. Validity and reliability studies of scale were carried out. In this context, item total test correlation and 27% upper and lower group total point evaluations were made within the scale item analysis. Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient for general of the scale was found 0,88; it was 0,83 for the first sub-factor; it was 0,79 for the second sub-factor; it was 0,77 for the third sub-factor. An exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was applied for the construct validity of scale. As a result of EFA, the scale consists of 17 items and has a three factor structure. The total variance ratio that factors explained is 54.61%. Accordingly, it can be said that the Exercise Addiction Scale (EAS) is a valid and reliable measurement tool.
