Abstract:

Ministry of Education Head of the Board of Education has made a change about Primary School Weekly Schedule on 20.07 2010. Some of the courses' hours has decreased and a new lesson called Leiusre Tıme Acvities came ın currıculum.This lesson has a lot of goals some of them are;students may love schools through educational and entertaining activities,make a family atmosphere in school for students,make students express themselves in a comfortable way,feeling themselves safe and keeping them happier etc.This research's aim is to see how this lesson is going in schools,what kind of problems do teachers have and how can this lesson be improved according to classroom teachers' views.This research is a qualitative study and interview technique was used,an interview form which had developed by researchers was used also.Data were obtained from 40 classroom teachers and analyzed by the researchers with content analysis.The results show that; some other lessons have been made in leisure time activities,teachers say that weekly hours for this lesson should be decreased,also they need a currıculum guide for this course.
