Abstract:

Perior to detailing relationship between laicism-religion state religion perspective, schould be pointed out. Governing power has been related to holiness since ancient times. Typical examples of these are old Egyptian and Roman traditions. Obeying to the ruler was found equal to holiness. This structure of governing body through joining with the realities of religion has caused holy state typlogies to come into life. State religion relations, from medieval times to modern times, through affecting socio cultural and civil growth of society, have permitted to (caused) a politikal chage. So, radical changes on state structure have resulted in different government structures By the time rules of law are segregated from rules of religion. State systems, which are suitable for needs of that age and society occured and differentiation between religion and politics happened. Separation of state and religious affairs is the last ring of these changes. The new system, that is the last ring of identifying state and religious affairs, is called laicist state model. İn realty, laicism and religion are not situated in a contradicting position. Laicism prevents the faith ideological differences’to become enemosity. İt also is expected to construct modern reyolution dynamism. Due to its positioning before intelligence, science, ideology, end tolerance, İslam has opened the path that leads to laicism. There are numerous examles in Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad’s life. As a conclusion, other than prophed’s teachings and revelations, intelligence and science are some of the basic references of İslam that is similar for laicism.
