Cinsiyet kadın ya da erkek olmanın biyolojik yönünü, toplumsal cinsiyet ise kadın ve erkeğe birey, toplum ve kültür tarafından yüklenen beklentileri ve rolleri ifade etmektedir. Toplumsal cinsiyet, kadın ve erkeklerin ilgi alanlarını, davranış ve düşünce biçimlerini belirleyerek kalıp yargıları oluşturmaktadır. Günümüzde hızla gelişen internet teknolojileriyle birlikte sosyal ağların kullanımında artış görülmektedir. Toplumsal iletişimde önemli olan sosyal ağların yaygın kullanımı öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rol algılarını biçimlendirmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı İnönü Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi öğrencilerinin sosyal ağ kullanımının toplumsal cinsiyet rol algılamalarına etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini İnönü Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi’nde birinci sınıfta okuyan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak 5’li likert ölçeğine göre hazırlanmış "Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği” ve “Sosyal Ağ Bağımlılık Ölçeği’’ kullanılmıştır. Benzer denekler örneklemesi yöntemi ile yazılı soru sorma tekniği olan anket tekniği kullanılarak 676 öğrenciden veri elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler SPSS programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği’nin yapı geçerliliği için açıklayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmış, madde analizi yapılarak, madde toplam ölçek ilişkisine bakılmıştır. Faktör analizi sonucuna göre ölçek, geleneksel cinsiyet rolü, eşitlikçi cinsiyet rolü ve erkek egemen cinsiyet rolü olarak üç boyutta toplanmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenilirliği Cronbach’s Alpha testi (α=0.71) ile değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrencilerin sosyal ağ kullanımının toplumsal cinsiyet rol algıları üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek için ise basit regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda sosyal ağ kullanımının sadece erkek egemen cinsiyet rolü üzerinde etkisinin bulunduğu belirlenmiştir.
Gender expresses the biological aspect of being man or woman. On the other hand, gender states to the expectations and roles carried to women and men by individuals, society, and culture. Gender creates stereotypes by determining the interests of women and men, their behavior and their ways of thinking. Today's Internet technologies have rapidly increased the use of social networks. The widespread use of social networks, which have an important place in social communication, shapes the gender perceptions of the students. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of the use of social networking of Inonu University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences students on gender role perceptions. The universe of the study is first class students in Inonu University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. "Gender Roles Attitude Scale" and "Social Network Dependence Scale" were used as data collection tool in the study. Data of 676 students were obtained by using the questionnaire method with the method of sampling of similar subjects. The data collected was analyzed with SPSS program. Explanatory factor analysis was applied to the construct validity of the Gender Roles Attitude Scale and the item total scale relation was examined by analyzing the item. The scale is divided into three dimensions as traditional gender role, egalitarian gender role and male dominant gender role according to the result of factor analysis. The reliability of the scale was assessed by the Cronbach's Alpha test (α = 0.71). Simple regression analysis was used to determine the effect of social network using on students' gender perceptions. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that social network usage had an effect on only male dominant gender role.
