Bu araştırmanın temel amacı ilkokul öğrencilerinin “okul” ve “okul müdürü” kavramlarına ilişkin algılarını metaforlar aracılığıyla ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Erzurum ilinin Yakutiye ilçesinde 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında farklı ilkokullarda öğrenim gören 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan 80 kişilik bir grup oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri araştırma kapsamında yer alan ilkokul öğrencilerinin “Okul/okul müdürü….gibidir, çünkü…” cümlesini tamamlamasıyla elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analiz edilmesinde ve yorumlanmasında içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğrenciler okul kavramına ilişkin 39, okul müdürü kavramına ilişkin ise 43 metafor üretmişlerdir. Öğrencilerin % 92.4’ü okulu olumlu bir kavram olarak algılamaktadırlar ve okulu öğretici, geliştirici bir yaşam alanı bir eğlence ve oyun merkezi olarak görmektedirler. Öğrencilerin okul müdürü kavramına ilişkin ürettikleri 43 metaforun 38’ i olumludur. Öğrenciler okul müdürünü bir yandan ailesinin bir üyesi görüp severken diğer yandan da sinirli yapısı ve yönetsel ağırlığı nedeniyle bir korku unsuru olarak da görmektedirler.
The main purpose of this research is to reveal the perceptions of primary school students about the concepts of "school" and "school manager" through metaphors. The research work group consists of a group of 80 persons consisting of 3rd and 4th-class students studying in different primary schools in the 2018-2019 educational year in the Yakutiye district of Erzurum. The research data were obtained by completing the phrase "School/School Director....is because..." of the primary school students involved in the research framework. In the analysis and interpretation of data, the content analysis technique has been used. According to the study, students produced 39 metaphors about the school concept and 43 metaphors about the school manager concept. 92 per cent of students. 4 they perceive school as a positive concept and they see school as a educational, developing living area as a entertainment and play center. 38 of the 43 metaphors that students produce regarding the concept of school manager are positive. Students see the school manager as a fear element, on the one hand, as a member of their family, and on the other hand, because of their nervous structure and management weight.
