Abstract:

This study examines the effects of bank employees’ exhausts consisting of emotional extinction, insensitivity, personal failure dimensions, and the levels of economic anxiety on their organizational commitments consisting of emotional commitment, continuity commitment, and normative commitment dimensions. In this context, data were collected by the survey method from 160 employees working in the public banks located in the center of Elazığ.  The correlation analysis to analyze the relationships between variables has found that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between exhaust and economic anxiety and organizational commitment in general at a medium level. According to the established regression model, exhaust and economic anxiety significantly affect the change of organizational commitment. It has also been concluded that economic concerns have a negative impact on continuous commitment, emotional commitment and normative commitment. The result is that the continuation of extinction dimensions and emotional devotion have a negative impact on the direction. In addition, it has been identified as a result of analysis that the extinction dimensions have no effect on the normative commitment. This situation shows that the effect between bank employees’ exhaust and economic concern levels and their organizational liabilities is negative.
